So how does the typical Dutchman/Dutchwoman spend a Good Friday night in The Netherlands? I can't tell you because Martijn, myself and some others were in Amsterdam watching The Riders on the Storm concert.
Well two of the original members of The Door (keyboard player and guitar player) were there. Was pretty strange. They played for a bit over 2 hours... but with a guitar and keyboard solo in every song it just sort of "went on and on".
And the crowd? Was a mix of grown up hippies, young hippies, parents with kids, and people between the ages of 15 to 70 (or so). Very different. And lucky me, I got to stand behind "the tall man who has a hinge for hips". He was only able to dance/bend in a sort of backwards forwards hip motion dance.

I also forgot to add that this was the first concert where along side beer they were selling tea/coffee and orange juice.
Aside for the fact that the organisers were catering for this crowd.. was it only me that saw the danger in the combination of boiling hot tea/coffee and a standing crowded crowd?
