"Carnaval" in Eindhoven

Most of the towns in the south of the country celebrated Carnaval last week and this was my first carnival. It is nothing like Wunta, The Warrnambool Show, The Melbourne Show or the Brunswick St Parade.. Think more Madi-Gra... but for families.

We were at the one in Eindhoven. Was amazing to see. Massive floats with moving parts, smoke machines and cannons that fired streamers. Most of the crowd was dressed up and most of the bars, cafes were only letting people in who were dressed up. There didn't appear to be a particular dress theme, it was pretty much anything you wanted. Saw quite a few animals, clowns and period costumes.
