Where did the name "Dutchy" come from?

I think most people know that in Australia Martijn was often called "Dutchy." This may have been because some people had trouble saying his name or because Australian's tend to call all males from the netherlands Dutchy (which may be due again to the first point).

The other day Martijn and I found a new reason to explain why the name Dutchy.... I hate to say it, but Martijn ("Mr Dutchy") is now the proud owner of these shoes. Oh the embarrassment. He is never allowed to take these to Australia.
